Who is this guy?

As a 15 year veteran of the communications industry I started this blog to share my views on public relations, communications and social media. Thanks in large part to the work on this blog, I was recently named as one of the Top 25 Social Media Leaders to Watch and have been fortunate enough to be recognized by a number of my peers.

Part of my goal in starting this blog was to gain valuable experience that I could pass on to client companies. Another goal was to use this forum to to defend old-school PR from the  over-hyped social media ‘experts’ predicting the end of PR.

Communications is what I do for a living, but I’m also a husband, father, friend, a slow (fair weather) runner, a baseball fan and a (bad) golfer. This is my personal blog and does not reflect the opinions of my (current or future) employer, friends or loved ones. Similar opinions can be found on Twitter: http://twitter.com/paulrobertspar

According to my resume, I’m a highly-accomplished communications professional 15-years experience in strategic planning, journalism, marketing and public relations – in both corporate and agency environments. Long track record of success developing and executing high-impact PR campaigns in a variety of technology industries including hardware, software, security and services.

    Hi Paul!
I’m looking to start a communications blog myself, and have been searching the web to find interesting-looking sites to connect with. Yours is the first one that I have found so far that seems personable…so I thought I would say hi and see if you had any wise words for a newbie? Thanks a bunch, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, looking at other sites is certainly a good way to start. I greatly appreciate your kind words. In short, I’d say be yourself and do experiment with style and topics, but if you really want to discuss in more detail, please feel free to email me directly at paulrobertspar @ gmail.com.
